Know Your Rights

Yes, it’s The Only Anniversary That Matters, 30 years today from the original release of London Calling. I think “Know Your Rights” was on Combat Rock, but too lazy to Wiki it up.

Anyway, I’m in this biz for almost 22 years now, but I still learn from Mark Wolfinger’s great Options for Rookies site.

For a little refresher course, check out this post on the obligations and rights of options traders.

As I reply to questions or visit investment forums, I repeatedly encounter option beginners who are surprised by what they discover after making option trades.

That’s equivalent to paying money to enter a tournament, knowing the competition is out to take your money, and not bothering to learn the rules before getting started.

Yet it happens all the time.

Options Volatility Trading: Strategies for Profiting from Market Swings

"Options Volatility Trading educates novice to intermediate investors on the nuances of the volatility index (VIX), the psychology behind it, and the best strategies to employ during dramatic market shifts. It provides a solid grounding in historical volatility patterns, distortions created by market noise, and how to use tools other than VIX."
