14 Reasons Obama Is Lying When He Claims The World Is ‘More Stable’ And ‘Less Violent’ Than Ever

With a straight face, Barack Obama has been repeatedly telling us that the world is “more stable” and “less violent” than ever.  In fact, he believes that this is the best time in history to be alive because of how peaceful and stable everything is.  And of course Obama is more than happy to take credit for his role in bringing all of this “stability” about.  Just this week, his press secretary told the media that this administration has “substantially improved” the “tranquility of the global community”.  Apparently these guys don’t think that we will notice all of the violence, war and terrorism constantly raging all around us.  It would be wonderful if the planet actually was becoming a more peaceful place, but instead the exact opposite is happening.  The world is becoming increasingly unstable, and if we aren’t really careful we could see World War III break out before too long. But if you listen to Obama, he makes it sound like we are living in an emerging global utopia.  The following is an excerpt from remarks that he made during a White House event in June…

[T]he truth of the matter is that for all the challenges we face, all the problems that we have, if you had to be — if you had to choose any moment to be born in human history, not knowing what your position was going to be, who you were going to be, you’d choose this time. The world is less violent than it has ever been. It is healthier than it has ever been. It is more tolerant than it has ever been. It is better fed then it’s ever been. It is more educated than it’s ever been.

You can watch video of him making those remarks below…

And as I mentioned above, a similar statement was made by White House press secretary Josh Earnest on Monday

“I think that there have been a number of situations in which you’ve seen this administration intervene in a meaningful way, that has substantially furthered American interests and substantially improved the, uh, you know, the – the tranquility of the global community.”

In addition, posted below is video of Obama declaring that the world is “more stable” than it was five years previously during a speech to the United Nations last year…

It would be great if all of this stuff was actually true.  But I think that at this point not even Obama believes half the things that are coming out of his mouth.  He has told dozens of major lies while he has been in the White House, and the following are 14 reasons why Obama is lying when he claims that the world is “more stable” and “less violent” than ever…

#1 The downing of Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 has brought Ukraine and Russia even closer to the brink of war.  The government in Kiev is blaming Russia and Russia is blaming the government in Kiev.  But Barack Obama does not seem too concerned about it.  During a speech on Thursday, he spent a mere 40 seconds addressing the downing of the plane before he began a 16 minute speech in which he told numerous jokes.

#2 If it wasn’t for revolutionary Ukrainian groups funded by George Soros and the U.S. government (among others), the Ukrainian government may never have been violently overthrown and there might not have been a civil war in Ukraine at all.

#3 Relations between the United States and Russia are the worst that they have been since the end of the Cold War, and the economic sanctions that Obama just slapped on Russia are not going to help matters any.

#4 Israel has just launched a major ground offensive in Gaza, and many fear that a full-blown regional war in the Middle East could erupt at any moment.

#5 The civil war in Syria has been raging for several years now.  Thanks to the United States and Saudi Arabia, those seeking to bring down the Syrian government are very well armed.

#6 The civil war in Iraq continues to get even worse.  ISIS has already captured vast stretches of Iraqi territory and they are using American weapons to do it.

#7 The Kurds claim that ISIS is now using chemical weaponsagainst them.  If this is true, it is really, really troubling news.

#8 The Iraqi government has told the United Nations that ISIS was able to steal 88 pounds of uranium from Mosul University.  Some experts are concerned that they may be able to use this material to create a dirty bomb (or worse).

#9 Barack Obama told us that we were “liberating” Libya, but instead we just transformed it into a war-torn wasteland that is constantly being fought over by warring militia groups.  Just this week, one of those militia groups launched a devastating attack on the main airport in Tripoli.  And the horrible fighting in Libya has spilled over into other nearby countries in North Africa such as Mali.

#10 Relations between the United States and Germany are at the lowest point that they have been since the end of World War II.  German Chancellor Angela Merkel was so furious when one U.S. spy was discovered recently that she expelled the top U.S. intelligence official from the country.  But Germany is far from alone.  The truth is that most of the rest of the world is sick and tired of our “Big Brother” behavior.

#11 Islamic terror group Boko Haram continues to cause havoc all over Nigeria.  The following is from a news report about an incident that happened earlier this week

Suspected members of the deadly Boko Haram Islamic sect on Monday attacked Dille village in Borno State, killed 45 people and torched several houses and shops and forced many people to flee into nearby hills for safety. The terrorists, it was gathered, came in a convoy of over 20 vehicles and motorcycles. According to one of the villagers, Njimtiku Papka, who spoke to journalists in Maiduguri on the phone, the terrorists on arriving the village started shooting indiscriminately at everyone in sight.

#12 The ongoing civil war in the Central African Republic has forcedhundreds of thousands of people out of their homes.

#13 There is horrible fighting going on inside Somalia right now

A fierce and violent conflict erupted on the outskirts of Qoryoley district in Lower Shabelle between joint African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) troops and Somali National Army soldiers (SNA) against Al-Shabaab. The terrorist insurgents attacked an SNA and AMISOM military sitting in the town just outside Qoryoley when the battle initiated. Locals have reported to Shabelle that the fight also affected towns in the district like Maanyo Mudug, Farhanle and Abdi Ali.

#14 Things are not even stable in North America.  Horrific gang violence and warring between drug cartels in Central America and Mexico has been one of the factors that has caused millions of illegal immigrants to come pouring toward the United States.  Today, Honduras has the highest murder rate on the entire planet, and the Mexican drug war has claimed more than 120,000 lives since 2006.

Of course this is just a partial list.  The truth is that there are dozens of other conflicts that are happening all over the globe right now that could be added to this list.

So what would you add to this list?

    Obama
needs to change his advisors, as even the daily stories, especially reported in
the worlds press show that there are too many conflicts. Unfortunately, it puts
Obama in the role of an attorney, by stating nonsense, and trying to convince a
jury (the nation) otherwise. As to the
US involvement in other nations, this will continue, and increase as the world becomes
more of a Global Economy. China is now
one of the most active prominent players, especially in South and Central
America. The Chinese have already promised Brazil billions of dollars for
projects (this is ironic as Brazil has almost as many Billionaires as wealthy:
Japan, South Korea and Singapore combined), and are courting Argentina and
Venezuela (even though both nations have Billionaires). As to military involvement
in world conflicts, the UN is going to need strong and convincing leadership to
get itself more involved in these conflicts before these greatly escalate. No major nation can be an isolationist today, and history has seen the tragedy when nations unilaterally reduce their military.

The branches of the military fall under The Department of Defense. That would be defense, as in protecting the United States from attack, by, you know, protecting our borders. So please explain the need to play offense in places like Vietnam, Afghanistan, Yemen, Pakistan, Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Libya, Nigeria, to name just a few of the tiny plots of land where our military has stomped around over the past few decades. Oh, and because you were a morally bankrupt teenager that saw the light in the army you believe that you can take the moral high ground and preach with a superiority complex? Weak.

Do you have a point with all this mindless ranting drivel. I know a lot more history than you but I am not stupidly blind to our misuse of military power since the end of WWII.

Are you really that stupid that you think our “freedom” depended on us going into Vietnam and indiscriminately killing everybody. WE WERE HATED by the average peasant there. Add to that our unnecessary involvement in Korea, Kosovo, central America, Lebanon, Iraq, Iran, and how many other countries.

Do some real thinking beyond that of a third grader on just what our wonderful military has done for us and who are they protecting.

Grow up with this stupid worship of the military and nonsense about “dishonoring” them if you don’t swallow every lie the government tells you.. You only make yourself look stupid.

Our military goes where ever the Commander in Chief sends them. That is the duty of any one who enlists to serve this country. I must ask, why do you hate our military so much? Would you prefer to live under tyranny, like the Nazi’s in Germany? Or would you prefer to live where you are protected from terrorists who will take your home, arrest you for no reason, and either throw you in a concentration camp or worse, execution? I guess you know nothing about the attack on Pearl Harbor, where thousands were killed that dreadful day. Or would you have preferred America had remained quiet while Hitler marched into these United States and blowing up our cities, towns, innocent men, women and children? You owe our fighting men and women thanks for saving your ungrateful life so you can spout your hatred for our flag without being arrested. I dare you to read the history of this nation from the Revolutionary War, WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam and other wars. So, you think our military needs to be cut? Well, what about the military families who sacrifice while their loved ones are miles away while you choose to dishonor them. Well, were it not for our military and the sacrifice they make, you wouldn’t be free to vent your hatred. Well, as an Army Vet, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, I wouldn’t trade my military experience for anything in the world. Had I not joined the army, I might have ended up in prison or worse, dead by my own hand at age 17. I dare you, but I doubt if you will, read the history of America.

  • markinla

The military needs to be cut. There can be an argument about how to do it *or how it is being screwed up) but it needs to be cut way back so it is no longer in a position for the US to stick it’s nose into every corner of the world. This does not makes us safer or defend my “freedom”.

As for crying about what to do about Russia. The first thing to do is have some common sense. They are over there and we are here and there is nothing short of a nuclear strike that we can do to stop them. There is no way to send enough troops, no matter how in awe you might be of the latest gee-wiz bombs we have, they are no match for hundreds of thousands of Russian troops within marching distance of Ukraine. We should have just shut our pie-holes in 1994 and stayed out from the beginning. all we did was make things worse by giving UIkraine assurances we could not keep.

Spending per soldier doesn’t mean much when you close a lot of bases and have much fewer soldiers.

  • JohnDille

If the Vietnam-era military scores a C, and the Operation Desert Storm force an A, Clinton’s military would probably receive an A- or B+. On the plus side, operations and maintenance were strong, military compensation was adequate, training and personnel standards remained high, and, largely as a result of the above factors, military safety records improved. On the negative side, certain types of equipment became less dependable, and morale worsened considerably.

In terms of overall resources, operation and maintenance spending went up substantially in the 1990s. The United States spent about $57,000 per soldier in 1990. By 2000, the figure was $80,000. Even factoring out increases in costs largely unrelated to readiness — such as environmental cleanup, maintenance of unnecessary base infrastructure, and health care — real resources increased by more than $10,000 per uniformed member of the armed forces during the Clinton presidency. Meanwhile, although real-dollar compensation rates declined slightly during Clinton’s first few years in office, they rose steadily during the rest of his presidency. And for all the talk of military personnel on food stamps, only one-fourth as many troops received such benefits at the end of the Clinton term as did during the George H.W. Bush presidency. Other compensation actually increased with the restoration of more generous retirement benefits that had been reduced during the Reagan years.

I see you are trying to twist history again. Clinton fought congress to reduce the military not expand it. He also destroyed the spying ability of the USA. Clinton was closing bases and rolling back the personnel numbers. I have friends that got fired just like obama is doing. Liberals hate the military and will cut it any chance they get. THAT IS A FACT!!!

They would rather give money to lazy people that do nothing than help the military. That is why obama lets illegals stay in the country and suck off the hard working Americans. To make sure the illegals have plenty he cuts military benefits. Just like the liberal hero Clinton did.

  • JohnDille

THE US MILITARY WAS MUCH SMALLER BACK IN THE EARLY 1990’S, WHICH IS WHY BILL CLINTON FOUGHT A REPUBLICAN CONGRESS TO EXPAND IT! Then George Bush Junior came along and threw the whole system into the fire that he and his allies created… and it may be decades before we fully recover… if we ever do!!! I WOULD ADVISE 40 HELEN 60 TO JUST IGNORE ALL THE RIGHT WING LIARS OUT THERE… AND LOOK AT THE FACTS INSTEAD OF LISTENING TO FOX NEWS AND ALL THE OTHER RIGHT WING MEDIA THSAT CONSTANTLY LIES TO ALL OF US!!!

This is the first time in our history, Congress and our military commanders have refused to do their duty. Obama is making America the laughing stock of the world, and Russia, China and other terrorists countries know it. Putin laughs every time Obama tries to bully and threaten Russia with sanctions. Obama cuts our military to the smallest since the beginning of WWII, then has the audacity to send pink slips to those in harms-way, “Your fired!” Total disregard for the families of those men and women fighting to stay alive long enough to get home, hoping and praying they won’t die on the battlefield alone. Obama welcomes the terrorists with open arms while calling our military domestic terrorists. How can the PROVOST and JAG look the other way and continue to allow this American hater to commit treason? I served my country and would never dream of committing treason, yet one man commits treason and gets the guys in his platoon murdered while spending 5 years being buddies with the enemy. He wasn’t held captive, he joined them. He looked well fed and happy that he was part of them. I cannot believe this guy is going to keep his stripes and have a desk job at Ft. Sam, while a marine is locked up in a Mexican jail, being beaten and tortured and this sorry mad man Obama looks the other way. I have words to say to our top Military Commanders. “You are a disgrace to the uniform and dishonor thos who gave their lives to protect this country.”You are a bunch of COWARDS! for following a dictator who is committing treason!!”
