Bonus Content: Fortinet’s Firewall Crown Just Got an AI Engine

A note from our friends at Profits Run(ad)

The download link for my Simple Options Trading For Beginners book is about to expire.

Once it goes, the book goes back to $29.97 on the website – same book, same content, just no longer free.

This is one of those things where the people who grab it in the next sixty seconds will have it on their computer forever. The people who don’t will be staring at an order page tomorrow, wishing they’d taken the twenty seconds.

It’s a quick read that finally explains options in plain English. No Greeks. No textbook charts. Just the actual mechanics with step-by-step trade examples.

Grab the free copy before the link expires.

Good Trading,
Bill Poulos

Fortinet’s Firewall Crown Just Got an AI Engine

Fortinet landed a fresh piece of institutional validation Wednesday that the market has not yet fully absorbed. On September 10, Fortinet said Gartner named FTNT a Leader in its 2026 Magic Quadrant for Hybrid Mesh Firewall and positioned it highest for Ability to Execute for the second consecutive year. The stock gained 1.04% that session while the Nasdaq slipped 0.7%, a divergence worth noting for traders tracking relative strength in cybersecurity.

The recognition is not simply a badge. Fortinet is now recognized in 11 Gartner Magic Quadrant reports across networking and security, a breadth that signals platform depth rather than point-product strength. That breadth is exactly what enterprise buyers are paying for right now.

The financial proof arrived six weeks earlier. Fortinet delivered strong Q2 2026 results with 33% year-over-year billings growth and 26% revenue growth to $2.05B, driven by innovation, execution, and robust product and OT security segments. Product revenue surged 52% to $773M, and free cash flow rose year-over-year to $966M. Non-GAAP operating margin hit a record 38%. These are not maintenance numbers; they reflect customers pulling forward spending on the platform.

The strategic angle traders should track is what is driving product acceleration. Growth was fueled by accelerating investment in securing AI infrastructure, the convergence of firewall, SD-WAN and SASE technologies into the company’s newly defined SASE Firewall platform, and continued strength in operational technology security amid rising regulatory and critical infrastructure requirements. The combined secure networking and Unified SASE business grew 34% to over $2B in Q2, and FortiSASE billings alone more than doubled year-over-year.

The AI layer runs deeper than marketing copy. Fortinet is accelerating its FortiAIGate solution with NVIDIA’s AI platforms, with the joint solution protecting AI workloads, data, and autonomous agents in real time in data centers and the cloud. Separately, FortiSOC unifies SIEM, SOAR, threat intelligence, and behavioral threat detection into a single platform, extended with agentic AI and FortiGuard Labs threat intelligence. FortiGuard IPS uses advanced AI and machine learning for enhanced threat detection, enabling deep-packet inspection, anomaly spotting, and coordinated response.

The bull case rests on platform stickiness. Every new AI workload a customer secures with FortiAIGate, every endpoint consolidated under FortiEndpoint, every alert auto-triaged by FortiSOC, deepens the moat. Moody’s upgraded Fortinet’s senior unsecured notes rating to A3 from Baa1. That financial standing matters if enterprise sales cycles lengthen into a slower macro.

The risk is valuation. FTNT closed down 1.75% at $156.07 on September 11, trading at a P/E of about 55 based on standard trailing earnings. At that multiple, any guidance miss or billings deceleration gets punished hard. Watch the $150 level as near-term support; a break there reopens the mid-$140s. For bulls, the thesis holds as long as billings growth stays above 25% and the SASE Firewall platform keeps taking share from point-product vendors.
